10+10
Collect/curate 10 design artifacts you love and 10 you hate. Write a brief statement for each, explaining its background (by whom, when, where, why it was made) and why you love or hate it. Include one or more images of each artifact with each statement.
Find Your Models
Visit the Studios section of this site. Look at and read about the work of these varied design practitioners. Choose three that resonate with you and write a brief statement for each, explaining why you admire the work and how it related to you own interests, process and intentions. (“Relate” doesn’t have to mean resemble; you could contrast with your own.)
Read a Book
Visit the Books section of this site. Choose a book and read it. Order from amazon or find it through the Rutgers library. Barnes & Noble stores tend to have pretty good design sections as well.
